How many businesses do you know that have special events coming up? special offers? How many people do you know who are looking for jobs? Or looking for a summer rental. I know quite a few. Now Twitter can help in more ways than just getting your name out there, it can post all your updates, questions and offers related to the North Fork Towns. Here’s how it works:

Getting Your Tweets onto this website

• Register for a FREE account at Twitter.com, then search for @eastendbuzz and click “Follow”. Tweet to Eastendbuzz making sure to start the tweet with @eastendbuzz and including contact information, link to your site.
• Keep your message to 120 characters. Twitter allows 140, but we’ll need the other 20 to distribute your news by RT (Retweet).,/li>
• If you have room, add relevant tags, such as #greenport, #vineyard, #NOFO, etc.
• Example: @eastendbuzz X is offering % discount for X . Contact us via X. #greenport
• You can also add @greenport, or @mattituck to your post.

Just Looking

• Register for a FREE account at Twitter.com, then search for @eastendbuzz and click “Follow”. You will now be able to read all our updates on your home page.
• If you’re only interested in one town on the North Fork, search for the Town name on Twitter and click “Follow”. Town name streams are listed in the right side bar under Twitter Streams.
• If you are interested in anything on offer in any of the streams, follow up directly using the contact information the company or person provided.

I am surprised at how many people are already posting special events and offers on the North Fork. They’re out there – you just need to know where to look. Eastendbuzz is making that easier.
