golf in greenport - Island’s End Golf & Country Club is a semi-private course located in the heart of Wine Country on the North Fork of Long Island. The 6,700 yard layout runs from the Main Road, North to where the signature par 3, 16th hole graces the shores of Long Island Sound. From this vista you can see the shores of Connecticut, or up and down the coast of Long Island. The hole itself is a challenging 185 yards. At times you may battle stiff winds coming off the water to a rolling right to left green.

Although semi-private, the course hosts mostly public players. Tee times can be reserved up to seven days in advance and walk on play for singles or doubles is generally available. The Four Star rated course is uniquely constructed with small moguls, bunkers, trees, and doglegs to make it challenging for any player. The greens are the finest on Long Island. Small groups and outings are always welcome. The course features a driving range, four tee boxes on each hole, showers, a lounge, restaurant, and catering. Non members and public players can book 7 days in advance. Click here for details.
