Accessibility
The resort is a collection of new town houses set in about 7.5 acres of private landscaped grounds with level or gently sloping pathways to all key areas. Some units are at first floor level (European Ground floor), and there are no elevators to the second floor accommodations, although some 2nd floor units (European 1st Floor) have a wheelchair lift. First floor units may be of particular interest to those with mobility challenges, particularly the disabled, elderly or those with strollers and pushchairs to manage. We appreciate that individual needs do vary greatly, and this page only sets out some of the main access features you may need to know. Please don’t hesitate to contact Agents & Owners with additional questions you may have about their units. Here’s some general information:
APPROACH The resort is located off a well maintained main road. There is plenty of private parking and the March 2009 photo below (scroll down) shows the level pathway from a disabled parking spot, along a gently sloping pathway to the pool side building. There are 3 or 4 steps between the pathway and covered entrance to the front door of most 1st Floor units. If you need wheelchair access up the steps, a ramp may be available.
INSIDE THE CONDOMINIUM Please review floor plans (if available) to see how the unit is laid out. There are no doors between the front entrance, kitchenette, Living and Dining area, which is all open plan, leading to the outdoor terrace. Accommodation is all on one level, with no steps between rooms. The doors to the terrace are sliding doors, so there is a step over that between interior and exterior space. There are no special features installed in bathrooms, such as handrails or raised lavatory seats at this time, but improvements are being made all the time, so please check at the time of your inquiry if needed.

The master en-suite bathroom has a shower with glass door, basin and lavatory. The 2nd (family) bathroom has a combination bathtub with shower over, basin and lavatory.
Fixtures and appliances: The LCD wall TVs in the master bedroom and open plan Living and Dining Room have remote controls. Light switches are not high on the walls. The dishwasher and fridge/ freezer in the kitchenette are under counter units. The wine cooler is at high level and requires a step stool to reach. Internet is wireless, accessible from anywhere, and the phone is placed on a low side table typically.
OUTSIDE THE CONDOMINIUM Flat or gently sloping pathways give access to resort amenities, such as the clubroom, pool and beach.
Pool: There is a short cut to the clubhouse and pool from rear entrances to units in the Poolside Building, which has steps down to a grassy area and stepping stones leading to around the pool. You may find it easier to go round to the pool the other way, via the front entrance and around the side of the building. There is a ramp to the clubhouse and a separate gate to the pool itself. See additional photos here.
Beach: The path leading to the beach is not completely paved, the last section is a dirt pathway across the lawn leading to a ramp and steps down to the private beach. It’s not a very high bluff by comparison with some bluffs that feature in this region, but there is a sloping ramp, then about 20 steps down. There are handrails on both sides of the ramp and steps. Should you need level access to a beach, a Town Beach is close by. You will need a parking permit to park a vehicle there, which we can help you obtain on request. See additional photos here.
